Should The NCAA Tournament Be Expanded? The most exciting playoff format ever put together, March Madness, expanded? Terrible idea because if you expand this we will not be able to have worthy meaningful conference tourney games and no one would care except the fans of those teams. We also would not get to see Jim Boehiem cry that his team is not in the tourney year after year. Sorry 'Cuse fans.......!

Should The NCAA Tournament Be Expanded?I think the way we have it is just fine. If we expand it we will still have the same problem with one's being left out that we thought should have made it. Win your conference title and you won't have this problem of being left out. There is always going to be teams that get in that most think should not be in and those that get left out that should be in. There is no doubt that some who do the selection are more bias toward certain teams then others which should not come into the selection process but does. Just leave it alone. They want something to fix. Fix that JOKE of a BCS.

Should The NCAA Tournament Be Expanded? Why expand it? It is already the best thing going. The teams that don't make it have the NIT. Expanding would only water sown the tourney more. Look at what has happened to MLB and the NBA with all of their expansion.

Should The NCAA Tournament Be Expanded?I don't think it should be expanded if anything it should be reduced and not have the one play-in-game. It's a silly idea. Which team gets to go lose in the first round? 16 seeds are usually teams that are .500 or more. Congrats on making it and better luck next year.

Should The NCAA Tournament Be Expanded?I don't think they should expand the tourney. In fact I think the play-in game was a dumb idea. Why should two teams that have won a conference title, even if it is a small conference have to play one extra game? If they have a play-in game it should be two at large teams that play. Getting your conference's automatic bid should keep you out of the play in game. Back to my main point, keep the NCAA tourney as it is, no team has a real complaint when they don't get in. The bubble teams are .500 in their conference. How about you take care of business and don't leave it up to the committee. If you win your games you will get in. These bubble teams would not win it all if they were in there. In fact they will probably not even win the NIT. |

Should The NCAA Tournament Be Expanded?Bubba I actually wrote an essay about expanding the tournament last semester
I said that 3 teams should be added to the tournament we could have 3 play in games, so that each 1 seed has the same advantage of playing teams that are coming off of two wins they could hold two of the games in Dayton, and I'm sure some school would volunteer to host the other two as someone who is considering coaching college basketball, I feel it would help the coaches from the small schools, because it would legitimize the play-in concept, which right now the game isn't even considered an legit game by most people 4 coaches from small conferences would get a chance to say they won an NCAA tournament game, and have that plaque to put on their wall, instead of just an appearance, I believe it would lead to a 16 seed beating a 1 seed and for those that say that there will always be teams complaining saying that they should have gotten in, I believe that most can distinguish a true tournament team and know that there aren't more than 3 left out every year |
